Hint: Suppose A2/A1 = 1/5 (for example) where A2 is the cross sectional area of the blockage and A1 is the area outside the blockage. This would mean that the blockage leaves only 20% (0.2) of the artery open. Or, that the artery itself is 100%-20% = 80% blocked.
