It is well recognized that the Ebola virus (EBOV), a public health emergency of worldwide concern, poses a threat of widespread outbreaks. Due to unrestricted international travel, EBOV has spread over the African continent, and cases have been reported in numerous nations as a result. In light of this worrying scenario, developing nations must review and improve their preparedness strategy in order to stop the spread of EBOV. The current study lays out the new strategy for developing nations to stop EBOV outbreaks in the future.

The filoviridae family includes the extremely pathogenic Ebola virus (EBOV), which causes hemorrhagic fever. It is known to sicken humans and other mammals, but it primarily affects non-human primates. Humans have seen high fatality rates of 40–90% during various outbreaks. Additionally, there is a serious risk that EBOV will be exploited in bioterrorism. Because of their high virulence, laboratory-proven aerosol infectivity, and ability to elicit dread and anxiety, filoviruses have been categorized as high priority Category A pathogens by the Strategic Planning Working Group of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, USA).
