Expert Solution
Step 1

Explanation :

7 ) The Ocean water is alkaline in nature i.e. Average pH is slightly greater than 7. But since the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere has increased,  the amount of CO2 absorption in the ocean water is increasing.

Thus, due to this increase ,ocean water is becoming more acidic.

8 ) Acid Rain is caused due to a chemical reaction between two compounds and these compounds are Sulfur dioxide and Nitrogen oxide. The reaction between these compounds in the atmosphere is responsible for the Acid Rain.

9 )At the Chesapeake Bay, the most of the pollution is caused due to excess nutrients ( Nitrogen and phosphorus ). The poor health of the Bay is the result of nutrients pollution and  sediments. One of the major sources of nutrients is from the fertilizers.
