HAND WASHING-
Hand washing is the act of cleansing one's hands with soap and water to eliminate viruses, bacteria, and microbes, as well as grime, grease, and other dangerous and unpleasant substances adhering to the hands. Wet and moist hands are more easily re-contaminated, so drying the washed hands is an important step. Unless hands are visibly abnormally unclean or greasy, hand sanitizer with at least 60% (v/v) alcohol in water can be used instead of soap and water if soap and water are unavailable. In order to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases in the home and in everyday life, proper hand hygiene is essential.
