Unit 4 Discussion: Monotheistic/Abrahamic Religions     No unread replies. No replies. Please view the following lessons: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Then answer the following questions in your Discussion for this unit/module. Some of these lessons were recorded when this class had a slightly different structure, but they're good as a brief introduction to the faith of Jewish, Christian, and Muslim people. The questions are: Miracles - Each of these three religions stands or falls on a "miracle" claim: something happened that defies explanation in the natural world. Talk about some vitally important miracles in each of these three religions - central miracles to the faith that without them the faith would not exist - and whether we can still, in the 21st century, believe that miraculous things occur. How can we justify that belief?  Religion and Politics - Does being Jewish, Christian, or Muslim automatically mean that you're conservative, moderate, or liberal when it comes to politics? Why or why not? Explain the relationship between religion and politics as it relates to these three monotheistic religions (specifically Christianity, which has a strong political influence in the United States).  Exclusivity - Many religious traditions deal with the problem of exclusivity. Give your perspective on whether all the religions that are monotheistic in nature - Judaism, Christianity, Islam - worship the same God. Why do you think that?
