My instructor has told us that dehydration leads to a drop in blood pressure due to low blood volume. I don't understand this concept because I thought dehydration leads to thicker blood which meant your heart had to work harder, i.e. higher blood pressure.  Could you explain how it leads to LOW blood pressure instead?
