Introduction :- Cell cycle is a series of events and phases that a cell passes through , to get divided into two genetically identical daughter cells. Cell division can occur in two ways :- Mitotic cell division and meiotic cell division . Mitotic cell division is also known as the equational cell division because the number of chromosomes in parental and daughter cells , remains the same . Meiosis is a reductional cell division , in which parent cell gets divided into 4 daughter cells and these daughter cells have half the number of chromosomes as compared to the parental cells .
