Question

Many religions share the same foundations. Religion explained things we do not understand, it created rules for society and gave humans an answer to the big question; why? Religion explained creation, weather, and even claims to power. In my opinion I do not think that religion is something that should be relevant today. Obviously, religion is important to many people around the world but, as a woman of science I tend to shy away from things like faith in some awesome power, unless I am shown real evidence. But clearly religion means something to humanity, otherwise we wouldnt have it. It started as a way to explain things we dont understand and evolved into something that set up rules and status for humans. I think for many people its important to have that in their life and to feel as though their life has order and meaning. I do not, but that is just me.
