Sociology as an independent discipline has its roots in the process of industrialization that took place in Europe. The intelligentsia that had witnessed the social change was interested in studying social change and studying the factor that leads to social change. Sociology developed as an analytical tool to study the social change process.
Social regularities are the one that is shaped by the roles that the individuals take in respect to the social setting he lives in. .some of them are
beliefs: beliefs are the ones that are restricted to the family or culture or the religion or community he/she is associated with. Beliefs are the ones that facts which are inculcated to the individual. The religious beliefs are primarily inculcated to the individual by the family to maintain the transfer of religious traits from one generation to another.
Roles: the people in society always drive their behavior towards the people's expectations from the larger society. Society expects the individual to perform certain roles. For example, in the family system, the children are expected to perform the role of children and also as the parents will take a stand on performing the role of breadwinner.
Social relationships: social relationships are the ones like the peer groups, friendship groups that the individual is associated with. These will make the individual progress in his/her behavior.
Participation activities: these are the ones where the individual involves in doing the day-to-day routine mundane activities. In this, the individual will be involved in performing the activities that are part of his daily life, which makes him maintain his livelihood.
