There are 5 types of schedule drugs available, they are ,
Schedule I:-
Cherecteristicks:-
This type of drug is defined as one which has no currently accepted medical use or has a high potential for abuse.
Example:-heroin, lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), marijuana (cannabis), 3, 4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (ecstasy), methaqualone, and peyote.
Schedule II:-
Cheracteristicks:-
This drug has an accepted medical use in treatments though it has a high potential for abuse. Abuse of this drugs can bring high psychological dependence or medium to low physical dependence,
Examples:- cocaine, methamphetamine, methadone, hydromorphone (Dilaudid), meperidine (Demerol), oxycodone (OxyContin), fentanyl, Dexedrine, Adderall, and Ritalin.
Schedule III:-
This drug has a potential for abuse less than Schedule I and schedules II drugs. This substance has a currently accepted use in medical treatment. Abuse of this drugs can bring high psychological dependence or medium to low physical dependence.
Example:- ketamine, anabolic steroids, and testosterone.
