Step 1 Introduction

The p-value is the probability of an event happening statistically in a theory. In other words, it means the likeliness of an event happening statistically in a theory. It has been calculated as the ratio of events that happened to the total events. The significance of that event depends upon its p-value. 

 If it is less than a particular value it is deemed as insignificant by the null hypothesis. The Null hypothesis states that it is the default that something exists in the empty set, for eg. while studying dependence between two variables and if the relationship seems very unlikely then it is healthy to consider the relation as a null set.
