It is generally assumed that alcohol consumption tends to make drinkers more impulsive. However, a recent study in the journal Alcobol and Alcobolism may contradict this assumption. The study took a random sample of 76 male undergraduate students and divided them into three One group remained sober; the second group was given flavored drinks with not enough alcohol to intoxicate; and the students in third group were intoxicate. Each student was offered a chance of receiving $15 at the end of session or double that amount later.
