Iraq has a potential source of solar energy according to high light irradiance for long hours, as previously reported, of 3300 h of brightness radiation annually. The recorded hourly light intensity lays between 416 W/m in January to 833 W/m in June. Iraq has the highest solar hours in the world - even when compared with developed countries in the use of solar energy, such as Spain. After the energy crisis in the October 1973 war, Iraq studied the use of solar energy, as an alternative source of energy of oil. The researcher tried to calculate the solar density in Baghdad and other Iraqi cities. The theoretical and practical parts of studies in this area focused on the use of solar energy in water heaters and refrigerators. Created theoretical models were the first part to begin in the study, such as the mathematical and theoretical description of solar water heaters. The use of solar irradiance data in an optimal economics manner is very important and fundamental part of this study. Studies consider measuring and collecting these data in all Iraqi areas, as one of the key points to evaluate the benefits of using this technology in Iraq. Most of the studies used the mathematical relationships that correlate temperature, humidity, and solar irradiance period. The obtained models were able to predict the solar irradiance accurately in a different region in Iraq. Currently, the limited using of photovoltaic cells in single individual use, for instance, pumping water, agricultural purposes, and telecommunications systems, reflect the difficulties to access the power grid. Based on the information mentioned in the text, Answer the flowing Questions: 1. What are the facts mentioned in the text (mention three facts only). 2. Why is solar energy extremely important as an alternative source of energy rather than oil? 3. More studies should be focused in Iraq, where should it be pointed out?
