Expert Solution
Step 1

A person's development takes place over the course of their lifetime. It is the process of transformation that results from experience and maturation. During maturation, genetics dominates development, with little environmental influence.

Development in children is influenced by both genetic and environmental variables. A child's growth is influenced by many factors, including the genes they inherit at birth, how they are raised, the experiences they have, and the environment they are exposed to. As a result, not every child will grow at the same rate and in the same manner. Instead, children's development takes place at various periods and in a variety of ways.
