Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770-1831) was a German philosopher who influenced many sociology founders, like Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels. His main area of interests which he wrote in his 'Philosophy of History' were:
- Freedom,
- Reason,
- Self-consciousness, and
- Recognition.
Georg Hegal talked about history in his Philosophy of History, where he explained reason, freedom, and recognition.
Reason:
The main question of studying history is to know the reason regarding knowing the ultimate purpose of the world. There are two things to consider:
- The ultimate purpose,
- Its realization.
Freedom:
Just like gravity is the essence of the matter, freedom is the essence of spirit. It is considered as the soul truth of the spirit. According to philosophy, every spirit's properties exist only through Freedom.
Recognition and self-consciousness:
Private aims, passions, satisfaction after getting selfish desire's fulfillment help to construct recognition and self-consciousness
