PaO2 stands for partial pressure of Oxygen that means the it indicates the pressure of oxygen the blood and how well the air is mixing with blood.

Sao2 stands for the percentage of binding site of haemoglobin that are bound with oxygen in arterial blood.

Oxygen saturation is the fraction of  Oxyhemoglobin in relation to amount of hemoglobin capable of carrying oxygen. In normal situation PaO2 indicates the concentration of oxygen in the blood but it could be misleading in the presence of carbon monoxide poisoning, methhemoglobin or sulphahemoglobin. In that case there will not be any changes in the oxygen concentration but underling pathology could be fatal.
