Step 1 Introduction on Thigh muscles:
Femur is the single bone in the thigh and it is very thick and strong due to the abundant bone tissue present. It forms a ball and socket joint and modified hinge joint with the hip and knee respectively The anterior compartment muscles of the thigh involves sartorius and the four quadriceps muscles like- rectus femoris, vastus medialis, vastus intermedius and vastus lateralis , Fascia demarcates the three separate compartments with the respective muscles. Each of these respective compartments has its own blood and nerve supply.
