By doing so, an organization can make better and informed decisions, improve and enhance efficiency, and boost productivity which can benefit the business not just through profits but also in its operations. In an academic setting, a KMS is crucial as it helps organize different learning materials, assignments, and exams in a single place. After the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, almost if not all schools started utilizing KMS to continue its operations in a global pandemic. Some examples of these include apps and services such as Canvas wherein professors can use to access all the learning materials related to their class. Not only does this help in organization but it also improves the way professors teach. By having a dedicated app for all their materials and grading, they can improve their way of teaching by having fewer things to focus on such as organizing learning materials, student papers, and lectures (Rouse, 2019). look for in a KMS. First would be a virtual calendar, the professors require the need for an integrated virtual calendar to keep track of upcoming events, deadlines, tasks and generate to-do lists alongside completed assignments and tasks. This feature allows professors to stay up to date and keep track with the things to do, create schedules and organize workflows alongside setting up notifications boosting their overall productivity. The integration of a quick search function would allow for quicker navigation through the KMS alongside having quicker access to learning materials and heightened efficiency in finding courses and resources. The quick search feature allows the professors and users to quickly navigate through the KMS by being able to find and get to certain materials and documents simply by doing a quick search. By being able to access materials, documents, and information quickly and easily through the quick search function it facilitates continuous improvements in both the teaching and learning process of professors in the RVRCOB. and even tracking and monitoring progress within the course as well as provide analytics and reporting. This feature allows professors to be able to organize course materials and customize them, keep track of progress, prepare activities and improve the overall efficiency when it comes to the teaching and learning process. When it comes to non-functional requirements, having a KMS that is easy to use and navigate is essential. Having a KMS that is easy to use and navigate helps with the overall efficiency as they are able to easily work with the KMS. Additionally, it helps reduce costs and the learning curve by spending less time learning how to fully utilize and navigate through the KMS reducing the overall training and support cost that is associated with the KMS. Moreover, this increases the adaptability as an easy to use and navigate KMS would allow users such as the professors to adapt to these changes quickly. III. Use Case Scenarios II. Requirement Gathering and Analysis The five key requirements for the new (KMS) Knowledge Management System and the Following: 1. Virtual calendar 2. Quick search 3. Collaboration and communication tools 4. Course management 5. Easy to use and navigate Collaboration and communication tools allow the users to share information and enhance collaboration through means of communication and sharing of ideas. This includes the use of discussions, formula and messaging platforms integrated within the KMS to foster community engagement through means of sharing or exchange of knowledge. This enables the professors of RVRCOB to not only gather insights and share knowledge through means of collaboration and communication tools but also help in capturing and retaining knowledge by documenting discussions in a centralized platform. Actors Involved: 1. Professor: The primary user who interacts with the Reddit-based KMS. 2. Reddit Community Members: Other professors, students, and enthusiasts who participate in the community. Preconditions: • The Reddit KMS is set up with dedicated subreddits for various courses. The professor has a Reddit account and has joined the relevant course subreddit. The five listed above are the key requirements needed by the professors of (RVRCOB) Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business in a (KMS) Knowledge Management System considering the typical needs and expectations professors courses Course management allows professors to organize, set up and manage efficiently through uploading content, creating activities and assessments and managing enrollments in the course. Sharing Lecture Notes and Resources: The professor posts lecture notes, slides, and other relevant materials as text or links within the subreddit. 。 They encourage students to engage by asking questions or providing feedback. 3. We understood that utilizing KMS can significantly help optimize the organization, storage, and information sharing, resulting in improved decision-making, increased efficiency, and greater production. However, this activity is a new concept, so there are some obstacles that need to be overcome. One of these obstacles was effectively identifying and fulfilling the needs of the professors at Ramon V. Del Rosario College of Business (RVRCOB). To tackle this difficulty, I focused on including features such as virtual calendars, efficient search choices, collaborative tools, course administration functionalities, and user-friendly interfaces. The KMS we have created and designed fulfills the requirements by creating a calendar for organizing school events and deadlines, a search function for easy navigation, and collaborative capabilities to facilitate communication and knowledge sharing with the professor's students and their colleagues. Moreover, these tools can help organize course materials like lectures. This approach ensures that the KMS not only supports professors in teaching and administrative tasks but also enriches the learning journey, for students.
