How do I respondd to this in 100 words?  For this week's discussion post, we have been tasked with reviewing the benefits and challenges of working in teams and then continuing to look into how this is made even more challenging when managing teams remotely. Nevertheless, today, with the complexities and needs of organizations to ensure they are maximizing efficiency and maintaining their corporate advantage, they must utilize teams.  Teams are small or large groups of individuals, depending on the project and organization size, where multiple disciplines are brought together to complete a project (McShane & Von Glinow, 2022). From experience, when working in teams, more details are given to the project, and efficiency is increased due to being held accountable for your particular task or job.      During the COVID pandemic, we all had to learn a new skill of working remotely and managing teams. We all went from in-person meetings to a world filled with Zoom and other media platforms to conduct all business, including personnel management and daily operations (Erna et al., 2022).  Although this was an effective means of working from home, it has also become the standard for most meetings in my organization for local and state conferences. However, there are several downfalls to the remote management of teams.  The largest one I have had personally is the ability to read the room and ensure that the team members are engaged in a manner consistent with an in-person meeting (Boland et al., 2022). Which also leads to productivity levels dropping. This disadvantage has forced my organization to return to in-person meetings for time-sensitive or significant projects.
