Question

how Autosomal Genes Contribute
to Sexual Dimorphism?

Expert Solution
Step 1

A normal human has 23 pairs of chromosomes in which 22 pairs are known as autosomes and one pair is sex chromosome, also known as allosome.

In females, the sex chromosome pair has both the "X" chromosomes and hence, a human female is homozygous that produce two similar gametes with ploidy 22+X. In males, the sex chromosome pair has one "X" chromosome and one "Y" chromosome and hence, a human male is heterozygous that produce two dissimilar gametes with ploidy, 22+X and 22+Y.
