The clavicle is a fairly substantial bone with a little S-shape that may be noticed in a lot of people that connects the sternum to the shoulder. The sternoclavicular joint, which is made mostly of cartilage, links it to the sternum. A clavicle fracture is a break in the bone that connects the breastbone to the shoulder blade.
