Hello, Beside this, what else do you think I can say about "Herpes simplex virus (HSV-1 or HSV-2)"? "The Herpes simplex virus infects epithelial tissue, it then spreads and replicates locally in sensory neurons. This virus is a lifelong latent infection that flares, when activated causes lesions. Herpes virus cannot be cured due to its ability to enter the sensory nerve endings. Infection vary from mild to severe, their are two strains. HSV-1 is usually transmitted in nonsexual contact in childhood, mainly infecting the mouth, lips, and face sometimes the genital area. Common signs of HSV-1 consist of ulcers in lips, mouth, and gums that can be painful, accompanied with swollen lymph nodes, and sore throat. HSV-2 is transmitted through sexual contact, affecting the genital, and anal area. Symptoms also consist of blisters, and sores in genitals or anus along with fever, swollen lymph nodes, and body aches. Both strains can also cause sore with no other symptoms. Other complication from both strains can also arise such as herpes keratitis, and although rare encephalitis can also occur which is life threatning. Triggers arent fully understood but some factrs that can cause a reactivation are hormonal imbalance, stress, heat, cold, xrays, and ultraviolet light. Treatment: consist of antiviral medication, and over the counter pain relievers and creams".   Thank you in advance!
