had trouble with explaining how natural selection affects alllele and genotype frequency. Does natural natural selection affect alleles by causing adaption to happen increasing the frequency of advantageous alleles?

Natural Selection : It is a type of evolution. It is the process through which populations of living organisms adapt and change individuals in a population are naturally variable means that they are different in some ways. It occurs if four conditions met and these are Reproduction, Heredity , Variation in physical characteristics and variation in number of offspring per individual.
Variations exists between all organisms It occurs partly due to mutations which arise in genome and these mutations get inherited into the offspring.
Natural selection acts on the phenotype but the genetic basis of any phenotype that gives that phenotype a reproductive advantage may become a more common in a population. Over time this process can result in populations that specialize for a particular ecological niches and may eventually result in speciation.
