Question

Given:

Margin of error – 10%

Confidence level – 95%

Population proportion – 75%

Population size – 4.2 M

Effect size – Small

Number of groups – 7

Number of predictors – 3

Compute the sample size using RAOSOFT

Expert Solution
Step 1

Given information :

Margin of error =  10%

Confidence level = 95%

Population proportion =75%

Population size = 4.2 M.

It is asked to find

  • The sample size , n value.

Step 2 :

Here you are given , population size = 4.2 M.

Note that , 4.2 M stands 4.2 millions which is equal to 40 lakhs and more 2 lakhs.

It simply means that 4.2 M =42 lakhs or 4200000 ( in decimal form).

Thus , population size  = 4200000.

Notice , Population proportion is same as the response distribution.

Now we know all values so just plug in RAOSOFT and calculate the sample size value.
