The basic structure of Amino acid is RCH(NH2)-COOH
It contains acidic -COOH and basic -NH2 groups. That's why-COOH group looses one proton while -NH2 group accept the proton. As a result it exist as R-CH(NH3^+)-COO^- which is called Zwitter ion and it exist as neutral amino acid.
But, the given amino acid contains another -NH2 group at C-6 position. Hence, it is basic in nature.
It's name is Lysine. It is actually the monoprotonated form of Lysine.
