Give examples of Schachter-Singer theory
Stanley Schachter and Jerome Singer proposed the two-factor theory of emotion, opposed to James-Lange theory which states that physiological arousal leads to emotional experience, they stated that physical arousal alone cannot give rise to emotional response. They suggested that certain arousal can lead to a large range of emotional reactions, to give rise to a particular response one needs to interpret the arousal.
This theory explains the two factors and that the interaction of these factors; physical arousal and cognitive label, used for that particular arousal leads to an emotional experience.
According to this theory, Stimulus/Event Physiological arousal + Cognitive appraisal Emotional response.
