If you were a worshipper visiting a Shinto shrine, what would you expect to see and do?
The word 'Shinto' in Japanese literally means, 'the way of the Gods'. Shito religion is indigenous to Japan and deeply rooted in the Japanese culture and people. Shintos believe in 'natural spirits' or 'divine spirits', which may take the form of sacred trees, mountains, rivers, wind, rain et cetera. These sacred spirits are known as Kami.
