Explain why thermal pollution always exists as far as thermal engines are in use.
Thermal pollution -Thermal pollution is also known as "thermal enrichment," which is a process in which the quality of water degrades by any process that changes the normal water temperature. Thermal pollution comes from hot water or cold water being dumped into a body of water like rivers or large ponds. In general, water naturally tends to dissipate the heat gained from warm currents, underwater hot springs, and from the sun.
The water from industries is dumped into these water bodies thermal pollution takes place because it overwhelms the natural temperature control mechanisms that work in the water. The sudden temperature change poses a health risk to a wide range of aquatic and amphibious creatures. and this leads to thermal shock for aquatic life. This leads to decrease in oxygen level in water which results in a decrease in river productivity, extinction of many aquatic species, changes in their reproduction cycles.
