Explain the pathophysiology of the disease and discuss common clinical manifestations for chronic renal failure
Chronic renal failure is also known as end-stage renal disease or ESRD. It is long-developing disease in which the kindeys are unable to function properly due to irreversible deterioration. As the fluid and electrolyte balance of the body get disturbed, it results in conditions such as uremia or azotemia. During chronis renal failure, development of comorbid conditions result in high morbidity and mortality.
Sometimes systemic diseases such as diabetes mellitus, polycystic kidneys, hypertension, infections, pyelonephritis, glomeronephritis, etc can be the cause of chronic renal failure.
