Explain Dijinguere Ber Mosque in Timbuktu
- The Djinguere Ber Mosque which was built in Timbuktu, a region in Mali has considered a popular wisdom centre of Mali which was constructed in the year 1327 and named Djingarey Ber in several terminologies.
- The credit for framing its layout completely goes to Abu Haq es Saheli who in return was compensated with 200 kilograms of gold by the king, Musa I who was ruling the Mali empire during that time.
- Djinguere Ber is known as one of the four madrassas formulating the Timbuktu University situated in Mali. It was also listed as the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the year 1988.
- Djinguereber mosque was created using mud and mores more commonly recognised as earthen architecture. This was the most common material used for building monuments in the Mali region. It's a procedure in which several layers of wet soil are placed one over another and is furnished onto limestone gravel or bricks.
