In this unit, we learned about three of the world’s earliest civilizations: Egypt, Mesopotamia, and China. For this assignment, you will compare and contrast two of these civilizations.
Strong civilizations rose in the ancient world, and Egypt and Mesopotamia became important centers of human history. These river valley societies had unique traits and accomplishments that shaped the development of civilization, and they were thriving in what is now the Middle East. Both areas, which are distinguished by the Tigris and Euphrates in Mesopotamia and the Nile in Egypt, produced distinctive social structures, cultures, and technological innovations. In order to determine the distinctive qualities that characterized Mesopotamia and Egypt's historical relevance, we compare and contrast these two ancient civilizations, looking at their government, religious convictions, artistic accomplishments, and more.
