Our present society has emerged from the past societies which originated as the pre-industrial societies where the economy was primarily based on the primary sector and agriculture was the main occupation of the people because primitive communism prevailed.
The production at that time was primarily home-based, where families produced their own crops for their own consumption as well as for the market. But today the production sector has been shifted to the factories and the division of labour exists in the industrial society. Thus our society has transformed and shifted especially after the Industrial Revolution which took place in the late 17th century in Europe, but it created an impact across the whole world.
