The Black Death or the bubonic plague was one of the devastating events that occurred in Medieval Europe. It was a pandemic caused by Yersinia pestis a bacterium which was spread by fleas and as the pandemic spread across Eurasia the disease began to spread from humans to humans. The Black Death began in 1346 and lasted till 1353 and took the lives of 75- 200 million people the pandemic had short-term and long-term impacts.
