- Discuss the physiology of the Large intestines; the different sections, and water absorption.

The large intestine begins, in the right iliac section of the pelvis, slightly at or below the right abdomen where it is connected to the lower end of the small intestine. Is about 1.5 m (4.9 feet) deep, and is about one-fifth of the intestinal canal's entire length.
In humans, the large intestine is the final component of the digestive system. It plays a crucial function in the removal of water from undigested food and then in the transition from the body of waste material. The large intestine is made up of a number of different sections:
Cecum: It is the starting of the large intestine, and it is located on the right side of the body. It connects with the small intestine. Small intestine passes the undigested food to the cecum. It plays a role in the absorption of salt and cellulose digestion from the food.
Colon: IT is the central organ of the digestive system the undigested food move through the colon. It plays a crucial role in water absorption from the undigested food and passes the remaining waste to rectum.
Rectum: It is the lower part of the digestive system. It is a path which connects the colon to anal. Its primary function is recieve the stool from the colon.
