The health care model is a framework that provides a foundation to provide enhanced healthcare outcomes and improved care delivery. There are three models according to the approaches -: i) Holistic model ii) Medical model and iii) Wellness model.
Holistic Model-: It is based on the WHO definition of health wherein mental and social issues are addressed and treated. It also promotes positive health and well-being.
Medical Model-: It considers the body as a machine and needs to be fixed when it is broken. It doesn't address mental and social problems.
Wellness Model-: It focuses on the environment which disrupts the well-being of an individual, group, or community.
