Define the term empirical observation?
The word "empirical observation " refers to data that we can verify using our senses. We can see, sound, touch, smell, taste, and hear through our five senses. The senses are essential for the near physical observation of objects in the hard sciences. Scales, instruments, and techniques have made it easier to validate an object's identity and meaning or many things over time.
Sociology examines and evaluates the relationships between persons and groups, whether small or large, using various observational science methods. Sociologists research human activity in terms of processes, cause, effect, or other empirical procedures that can start with a near personal evaluation of each member in each group but must be extrapolated to extend to large populations.
Concepts are found in empirical sociological research. Concepts are described in detail and assigned to variables. Changes in the variables are given values. The cause and effect associations of variations in the variables' values are then investigated.
