Define the process of color addition.
When lights of different colors are mixed, different shades of color is observed. There are two varieties of color mainly, Primary colors and secondary colors.
Primary colors are those which combine to produce white light and which is used for production of light.
Primary colors are Red, green and blue. When red, green and blue light are mixed well the white light is produced. This is given as: R+G+B=W
The mixing of colored light is called as the color addition.
The primary colors addition can be explained using a light box. The light box illuminates a screen with three primary colors that is red, green and blue. The lights are in circle shape. The result of addition of any two primary colors of light is shown as overlapping of two or more circles of primary colors.
There are certain rules of addition of colors. Red and green light produce Yellow light. Red and blue together gives Magenta light. Green and blue gives cyan light.
White light is the result of mixing of Red, Green and Blue light.
There primary colors on addition when give colors referred to as Secondary colors.
