Define Neutransmitter?
The body of a living being has a system that controls the functioning of the entire body including the different organs, muscles, etc. This system is the nervous system that regulates or controls the organs, physiological processes or functioning, and psychological functioning.
The nervous system communicates with these organs or muscles by sending them messages in the form of electric signals flowing through neurons. Now, neurotransmitters are the chemical molecules that are used y the nervous system in order to transmit the messages between the neurons, from neurons to muscles, organs, or glands.
These chemical agents are released by nerve cells or neurons to activate the adjacent or neighboring neurons, muscles, organs, or glands, allowing the electric impulses to get passes from one cell to the next cell throughout the nervous system.
