Species are the fundamental unit of understanding life forms found in nature where the two organisms of opposite sexes but belonging to the same species will be able to give birth to offspring. There are diverse groups of species and there are many which are yet pending to be identified. Certain species are dominative on others and belong to the dominant species class. Keystone species is also a category to understand the role of species in forming a community. Understanding of species is very important for developing an understanding of community ecology.
