Question
Decide what market structure best represents each of the scenarios listed in the table.
![Market Structures
a) Old man Ezra sells wheat that he produces on
his farm. How he manages costs is very
important considering there are many
competitors in his industry and he must
accept the market equilibrium price.
b) Lina works for the Toronto Maple Leafs. She
loves working for the only professional
hockey team in the city. Sometimes
customers complain about the high prices the
firm is able to charge.
c) Geovanni works for CIBC. His customers often
wonder if there is a scam going on with the
big 5 banks, considering they all seem to offer
the same prices and interest rates.
d) Diana owns a pizza parlor and competes with
other pizza parlors on price and other things
like delivery times, service, and gourmet
toppings.
e) Noah works for Shell. The staff there provides
excellent service because there are 6 other
big gas stations in town and they all offer
similar prices on gas.
f) Jeffery works for XYZ Cable. XYZ Cable holds
the right to provide residents in PEI with
cable. Since they have no direct competitors
they don't need to engage in non-price
competition.
g) Albert is a fisherman who sells mussels. There
are many buyers and sellers in this industry,
and products are almost identical.
h) Marty owns a shoe store. He constantly tries
