The upper part of the circuit shown on the figure below consists of two parallel wires A (blue
wire) and B (red wire), with following properties:
Wire A: length 1, resistivity Pa, cross section area SĄ.
Wire B: length 1, resistivity Pg, cross section area Sg.
The resistivity of the remaining (black) wires is negligible.
On the right part of the circuit there is a capacitor: half of the capacitor is filled with two
dielectric blocks with equal volume with dielectric constants Ki and K2. The other half is
vacuum. The area of the capacitor plates is Sc.
(a) Find the equivalent RC circuit of the circuit. Deduce the time constant.
(b) How much energy is stored in the capacitor in steady state?
