For Questions 20-23. A company that manufactures basketballs uses a certain type of rubber
imported from Malaysia. The research and development division of the company is introducing a
new type of rubber from Indonesia. One of the factors that the company is considering is the
height of the bounce. According to standards, the ball should at least cover 60% of the level from
which the ball is dropped. It is known that the height of the bounce of the balls made from the
new type of rubber follows a normal distribution with a standard deviation of 0.4 meters. Eight
randomly selected balls, with replacement, made from the new type of rubber were dropped from
10 meters above the ground and registered the following bounce heights in meters.
6.2 6.2 6.0 6.1 5.8 5.7 5.9 6.6
