Details of the process:- Firstly feed is mixed with the recycle stream using a mixer Output of the mixer is put into the reactor where the following two reactions occur:- CO2 + 3H2 <--> CH3OH + H2O AND CO + 2H2 <--> CH3OH Reactor output is cooled to from  246.3 degrees celcius to 37.78 degrees using a cooler(using 4.229e+007 of heatflow)  Then the cooled outlet is then fed into the first separator which separates it into vapour and liquid outlets Then the liquid outlet is put into another separator resulting ina  crude methanol stream(but still contains some impurities) and gas loop flash system the vapour outlet of first separtour is sent to a purger where 4.8% of all of it is purged/removed the remaining is sent to a compressor and comprossed from 7888kpa to 8190kpa using 5.955e+005kj/hour then it is heated from 42 degrees celcius to 130 degrees celcius using 1.115e+007 kj/hour  and put into the mixer( this was the recycle)

Complete the question by hand calculation(please show every step):-
Do the mass balance, and find the flow rate of the vapour and liquid outlets of the last separator and purge stream and recycle stream flow rate for the following question by HAND CALCULATION:-
Methanol can be produced from natural gas(syngas gas)
the following syngas gas (feed) has the following conditions and composition
915 kgmole/hour
Temperature 131.7 ºC
Pressure 1187 psia
Component Composition (mol%)
Carbon Monoxide 15.63
Carbon Dioxide 7.93
Hydrogen 73.31
Nitrogen 0.33
Methane 2.61
Water 0.19
TOTAL 100.00

How the proccess flow diagram is attached to this question.
Details of the process:-

  1. Firstly feed is mixed with the recycle stream using a mixer

  2. Output of the mixer is put into the reactor
    where the following two reactions occur:-
    CO2 + 3H2 <--> CH3OH + H2O
    AND
    CO + 2H2 <--> CH3OH
  3. Reactor output is cooled to from  246.3 degrees celcius to 37.78 degrees using a cooler(using 4.229e+007 of heatflow)
  4. Then the cooled outlet is then fed into the first separator which separates it into vapour and liquid outlets
  5. Then the liquid outlet is put into another separator resulting ina  crude methanol stream(but still contains some impurities) and gas loop flash system
  6. the vapour outlet of first separtour is sent to a purger where 4.8% of all of it is purged/removed
  7. the remaining is sent to a compressor and comprossed from 7888kpa to 8190kpa using 5.955e+005kj/hour
  8. then it is heated from 42 degrees celcius to 130 degrees celcius using 1.115e+007 kj/hour  and put into the mixer( this was the recycle)
