sun releases UVA and UVB rays which damage skin and leads to ageing . it is quite often that our age is accelerated by sun exposure .actually, our skin is composed of 3 layers - 1. epidermis 2. dermis 3. subcutaneous tissue
the dermis part of skin contain many protein including collagen and elastin .These protein get destroyed due to harmful rays which result in decreased elasticity of skin and ageing occur.
It is to be noted that sometime exposure to UVB and UVA rays may cause other skin issues like skin cancer.
The collagen reduction also occur due to growing age. As we grow older the structural integrity of skin decline. (please refer to diagram in next section)
many institute claims that 80 percent of our ageing is due to sun rays.
