Entropy is defined as the degree of randomness or disorderness of the system. As the degree of randomness of disorder increases entropy increases and vice versa.
In the reaction undergoing a phase change entropy change can be easily predicted by the looking into the change in phase.
Entropy increases as we go from solid to liquid and liquid to gas, as molecules get more room to move and bonce and hence overall energy increases due to increase in disorderness.
Also, entropy increases with increases in temperature.
