Chapter 10.2, Problem 26E To determine To findthe sum of given geometric series + (4)° + (3)° + (})* +. Answer to Problem 26E The sum of given geometric series + ()* + (÷)* + (÷)* + Evnlanation of Solution Explanation of Solution Given: The series + (금)' + (좋)" + (J)' + Formula used: Sum if geometric series: cr" = c + cr + cr + ....= Calculation: Let the given series be + 3 + + + Sum if geometric series If c +0, r| < 1, then cr" = c+ cr + cr + cr" = cm + crm+1 + crm+2 1-r cr" = c"" + cr" + cr"- + 1-r n=1 If |r| >1, then the geometric series diverges From the given series c ,r=, Irl = ||<1, Therefore, sum of geometric series is, + ()° + (})* + (†)' +. = } Hence + (중)' + (종) + (중)" + Conclusion: Therefore, the sum of given geometric series + (4)° + (3)° + (})'ʻ + 2.
Unitary Method
The word “unitary” comes from the word “unit”, which means a single and complete entity. In this method, we find the value of a unit product from the given number of products, and then we solve for the other number of products.
Speed, Time, and Distance
Imagine you and 3 of your friends are planning to go to the playground at 6 in the evening. Your house is one mile away from the playground and one of your friends named Jim must start at 5 pm to reach the playground by walk. The other two friends are 3 miles away.
Profit and Loss
The amount earned or lost on the sale of one or more items is referred to as the profit or loss on that item.
Units and Measurements
Measurements and comparisons are the foundation of science and engineering. We, therefore, need rules that tell us how things are measured and compared. For these measurements and comparisons, we perform certain experiments, and we will need the experiments to set up the devices.
The question is to find the sum of the series, but I'm there are two solutions attached to this question, one is from this website, and another is from my college math professor, and the question also in the image. I'm confusing which one is correct, and I'm confusing that the absolute value of r in this question is 7/3, which is bigger than 1, shouldn't it diverge?
