Fidel Castro was a Cuban revolutionary politician who served as prime minister of Cuba from 1959 to 1976 and president from 1976 to 2008. He was ideologically nationalist, marxist- Leninist. He was the first leader who transformed his country into a Marxist and communist state among the other western states.
US relationship with Fidel Castro regime.:
Cuba and the US have bilateral relations with each other since the cold war era. They restored diplomatic relations in 2015. Their relations were not so good on diplomatic as well as other levels because of the ideological conflict between the two countries. The ideological conflict between the capitalist and Marxist communist ideology which was superior in nature created the threat of the third world war during the cold war era. Later Russia joined the event and it was turned into the cold war but political personalities still believe or considered the Cuban crisis as the peak or high time of the cold war era that might turn into a full-fledged war. It was basically a political-ideological war between two nations and later joined by many countries and divided the world into two halves; the communist and the capitalist. The US, Cuba, and Russia later resolved the conflict after seeing no gain in the war. These two nations have a history of bilateral conflicts or agreements with each other.
