This bar graph represents the serum folate levels (measured in nanograms per milliliter, ng/mL) in two groups: "Normals" and "Patients."
- **Normals (N=64):** This group consists of 64 individuals who were not exposed to intense UV light and served as the control group. Their average serum folate level is nearly 7 ng/mL, with a standard error of the mean indicated by error bars.
- **Patients (N=10):** This group includes 10 individuals who were exposed to intense UV light for 30–60 minutes once or twice a week for three months. Their average serum folate level is approximately 4 ng/mL, with error bars showing the standard error of the mean. The individual data points are also plotted on the graph.
**Statistical Analysis:**
The difference in folate levels between the "Normals" and "Patients" group was statistically significant with a p-value of less than 0.005.
