PROCEDURE:
1) Measure 1.0 mL (or 1.0 g, if a solid) of the amine into a tared 50 mL Erlenmeyer flask and
determine its mass.
2) Add 10 mL of water to the flask and swirl to mix.
3) Measure 1.3 mL of acetic anhydride into a tared container and determine its mass.
4) Using a Pasteur pipet, transfer the acetic anhydride to the aniline mixture in small portions.
Continue swirling during this addition.
