Hypophysis – this term is used as another name for the endocrine's pituitary gland; it is used in reference to the pituitary's location on the brain's underside, and the term originated from a Greek word which means 'lying under.'
Phragmoplast – it refers to a structure specific to plant cells formed during the later phase of cytokinesis. It functions as the platform for assembling the cell plate and forming new cell walls that would separate the daughter cells.
